started at a balmy 27 degrees. Compared to the 5 we had a couple of days ago (when I did not ride) seemed warm. With the proper clothing, 27 really did not feel cold at all. In fact, after a few minutes it gets kinda toasty actually.
I really like riding on the 17th abandoned RR path. At some point the city has to open this path up for biking, jogging, walking, maybe even horses as it goes out into the county. This shot is taken at the I-135 overpass where the path will have to tie into a N-S trail under the highway. I don't really know how far east the trail could go. The old RR line did go to eastern Kansas. I guess some places it has been returned to farmland. It would be good to see it turn into a KATY trail type of path. Today I decided to ride the Salsa Chili Con Crosso, a great bike for the gravel that the trail offers.
